In recent years my sculptural practice has concentrated more and more on working with wood. I enjoy the flexibility and qualities of the material. It has enough presence to be permanent but it is also relatively easy and flexible to work with so projects and ideas can be resolved efficiently. The process of craft and making is also important within my practice and the wood enables for the evidence of the carving to be revealed where appropriate.
